Who We Are

The Washington County Fair is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization with the purpose of providing scholarships to the deserving youth of our county. Our mission is to promote and encourage agriculture, horticulture and home economics through the exhibition of related products with a principal goal to support youth activities thru education and scholarship. The Association is comprised of all volunteers. It's structure consists of an executive board, board members, division advisors, vice presidents, superintendents, chairman and hundreds of volunteers and friends of the Washington County Fair.

The Washington County Fair Association is not associated with the Washington County Government and the County Fair Board. The facilities are rented from Washington County for the annual event.

Executive Board

President - Ricky Bosse

President - Ricky Bosse

Ricky is the owner of Korth & Linke Welding, LLC. He has been involved with the Washington County Fair for many years. Growing up, he was an exhibitor at the Fair—raising lambs, turkeys, colts and Brahman heifers. After graduation, Ricky began volunteering at the Washington County Fair. He served on the Junior Beef Committee, and later, the Commercial Heifer Committee. He served as a co-chairman of the committee for almost 20 years. Ricky serves on the Advisory Board for Brenham National Bank, and is a member of Zion Lutheran Church. Ricky, and his wife Melisa, have one daughter, Deanna (Clay) and two granddaughters, Allie and Emma.
Vice President - Cabin Warmke

Vice President - Cabin Warmke

Cabin is the co-owner of Brenham Technical Services. He has volunteered at the Washington County Fair for 32 years. He has served on the Poultry Committee, co-chaired the Livestock Judging Contest Committee and served as the Superintendent for Barrows, Carcass Hogs, Lambs and Goats, as well as the Superintendent for Poultry and Rabbits. Cabin, and his wife Missie, have three children, Payton (Brooke), Caden (Daylon) and Hanna, and one grandchild, Tate.
Chairman - Michael Bentke

Chairman - Michael Bentke

Michael is the Executive Vice President and Chief Lending Officer at Citizens State Bank. He has volunteered at the Washington County Fair since 2000. He served as the Chairman for the Commercial Heifer Committee for thirteen years prior to be elected in board leadership. He served as the Vice President in 2021 – 2022, and served as President in 2023 – 2024. Michael is a member of Zion Lutheran Church, and also serves on the Washington County Beef Committee and the South Central Texas Cow Calf Clinic Scholarship Committee. He, and his wife Allison, have two sons—Shane and Reid.
